Also known as Las Vegas
Put your team's two scores together into one number, low digit first. A bad hole can cost a lot, fast.
- Players
- 4, in two teams
- Format
- Points every hole
- Best for
- A foursome that likes action
How it works
- Each team's two scores make a two-digit number, low score first: a 4 and a 5 make 45.
- A score of 10 or more goes first: a 4 and a 10 make 104.
- The lower number wins the difference in points: 45 against 56 is 11 points.
- Birdie flips: a birdie turns the other team's number around, so their 45 becomes 54. Not if they birdied too.
Scoring and stakes
- Points add up over the round. Each player on the team that's behind pays the stake per point.
Handicaps
- Net or gross. With net on, each player's own net score goes into the number.
Example
- Mike and Chris make 4 and 5: 45. Dave and Sam make 5 and 6: 56. Mike and Chris win 11 points.
- If Mike had made a birdie 3, the number would be 35, and Dave and Sam's would flip to 65: 30 points.
Settings you can change
- Teams
- Two teams of two.
- Net or gross
- Use handicap strokes or not.
- Birdie flips
- On or off.
- Stake
- Dollar value per point, usually small, or 0 to play for points.
