Sixes
Also known as Round Robin, Hollywood
Everyone partners everyone. Three short best-ball matches, so a bad stretch only costs you one of them.
- Players
- Exactly 4
- Format
- Three six-hole matches
- Best for
- A regular foursome
How it works
- Holes 1–6: player 1 and 2 against 3 and 4. Holes 7–12: 1 and 3 against 2 and 4. Holes 13–18: 1 and 4 against 2 and 3.
- On a nine, each match is three holes.
- Each match is best ball: the lower score on each team counts, and more holes won wins the match.
Scoring and stakes
- Each match is its own bet: winners collect the stake per player. Halved matches push.
Handicaps
- Net by default, each player's own strokes.
- Strokes can be given off the low player.
Example
- Mike wins the first match with Chris and the third with Sam, and loses the second with Dave. He's up one stake.
Settings you can change
- Partners
- Set or shuffle players 1–4, which decides the pairings.
- Net or gross
- Use handicap strokes or not.
- Stake
- Per match, per player, or 0 to play for points.
