Quota
Also known as Chicago
Everyone plays against their own number. The handicap is in the quota, so you play straight up, no strokes.
- Players
- 2 or more
- Format
- Points against a target
- Best for
- Big groups, mixed handicaps
How it works
- Your quota is 36 minus your course handicap, and never less than 0. A 10 handicap needs 26 points.
- Points per hole on gross scores: double bogey or worse 0, bogey 1, par 2, birdie 4, eagle or better 8.
- Whoever beats their quota by the most wins.
Scoring and stakes
- Winner takes the pot, or per point: each player pays the stake per point to everyone who beat them against quota.
- Mid-round, the quota is counted for the holes played so far.
Handicaps
- No strokes: the handicap is in the quota. On a nine, the quota is 18 minus the nine-hole course handicap.
Example
- Mike (quota 26) scores 30 points: +4. Chris (quota 20) scores 22: +2. Mike wins.
