How it works
- Two sides play match play: win a hole by having the lower score on it.
- There are three separate bets: the front nine, the back nine and the overall 18.
- In a 2v2 game, each side counts its best score on every hole (best ball).
- With auto-press on, when a side falls behind by the set number of holes in the newest bet on a nine, a new bet starts on the next hole and runs to the end of that nine. Presses can be pressed again.
- With manual presses on, either side can call a press on any hole: tap it on the hole and a new bet starts there, running to the end of the nine.
Scoring and stakes
- Each bet, including every press, is worth the stake per player.
- A bet is won by whichever side is ahead after its last hole. Level means halved: no money changes hands.
- Matches close out early when one side can no longer be caught, shown as "3&2" and so on.
Handicaps
- Net by default, with strokes given off the low player in the match.
- Full handicap is typical for singles; 85% is recommended for four-ball (2v2).
Example
- You and Chris play Mike and Alex for $5 a bet, presses off.
- Mike and Alex win the front 2 up. You and Chris win the back 1 up. The overall finishes level, so it's halved.
- One bet each way: everyone is square. With auto-press on, falling 2 down on the front would have started a press worth another $5.
