Greensomes
Also known as Modified Pinehurst
Alternate shot with a safety net: both partners drive, then play the better one, alternating to the hole.

How it works
- Both partners tee off and the pair picks the better drive.
- The partner whose drive wasn't picked hits the second shot, and they alternate from there.
- The pair enters one score a hole. Lowest total wins.
Scoring and stakes
- Pot or per stroke, split between the partners.
Handicaps
- Gross by default. Team handicaps: 60% of the lower plus 40% of the higher.
Example
- Sam's drive is longer, so Mike hits the second shot, then Sam, until it's in.
