Bingo Bango Bongo
Three points up for grabs on every hole. Great for mixed groups: position and luck count as much as power.
- Players
- 2 or more, best with 3 or 4
- Format
- Three points every hole
- Best for
- Groups of very different abilities
How it works
- Bingo: a point to the first player to get their ball on the green.
- Bango: once everyone is on the green, a point to whoever is closest to the pin.
- Bongo: a point to the first player to hole out.
- Play in strict order: whoever is furthest from the hole plays next. Mark each point on the hole as it happens.
Scoring and stakes
- Up to three points a hole, and one player can win all three.
- Most points after the round wins. With a stake, each player pays the stake per point to everyone who finished with more points.
Handicaps
- No handicap strokes: the order of play is what evens it out, since shorter hitters play first.
Example
- On 1, Sam is first on the green (bingo), Mike ends up closest (bango) and Sam holes out first (bongo).
- Sam has 2 points, Mike 1. At $1 a point, Mike pays Sam $1, and the others settle the same way.
Settings you can change
- Players
- Any players in the round.
- Stake
- Dollar value per point of difference, or 0 to play for points.
