Matches
Banker
One player is the bank each hole. Everyone else takes them on head to head, and decides how much to bet.
- Players
- 2 or more, best with 4
- Format
- Head to head with the banker
- Best for
- A group that likes to gamble
How it works
- The banker rotates each hole in an order you set (or shuffle).
- Each player bets 1× unless they pick more, up to the limit. The banker can then double every bet on the hole.
- Mark the bets on the hole. The banker plays each player one on one: the lower score wins that bet, ties push.
Scoring and stakes
- A 1× bet is worth the stake. The banker wins or loses against every player on the hole.
Handicaps
- Net by default, each player's own strokes.
- Strokes can be given off the low player.
Example
- Mike is the banker on 1. Chris bets 2×, Dave 1×, and Mike doubles.
- Mike makes 4, Chris 3, Dave 5. Chris wins 4 bets from Mike; Mike wins 2 from Dave.
