Hole by hole
Aces and Deuces
Every hole has a winner and a loser. Make the best score to collect, and avoid the worst so you don't pay.
- Players
- 3 or more, best with 4
- Format
- Hole by hole
- Best for
- A foursome that wants every hole to matter
How it works
- Ace: the outright lowest score on a hole collects from every other player.
- Deuce: the outright highest score pays every other player.
- A tie for low or high means no ace or no deuce on that hole.
Scoring and stakes
- By default the ace collects 2 points from each player and the deuce pays 1 to each. Each point is worth the stake.
Handicaps
- Net by default.
- Strokes can be given off the low player.
Example
- On 5, Mike makes the only birdie and Dave the only double. Mike collects 2 from each of the others; Dave pays 1 to each.
